Committee Meeting - 4/11/19
We had our club committee meeting a few weeks back where the below was discussed. These are held every first Monday of the month in the Dragons Tap, Stag. Club members are more than welcome to attend to discuss any issues they have.
The next committee meeting will be: Monday 6th January
Committee members present:
Jonny Haynes (Chair)
Andy Laidler (CTT Racing / Vice Chair)
Mark Weston (Socials)
Rob O’Reilly (Membership)
David Southwood (Treasurer)
There were sufficient committee members present for the meeting to be quorate.
Jonny welcomed the new members to the Committee.
Coaching Update (JH)
Numbers have dropped off significantly and it was agreed that if they don't pick up before the year end we'll take a hiatus until the end of Jan to avid the worst of the weather.
Winter Rides (BD/SM)
It was discussed possibly going down to two rides during the winter as numbers have dropped off. We agreed that numbers may be lower but felt that offering the three distinct rides was the way to continue. We did suggest that some of the stronger Amber Captains move up to leading Red rides.
Members joining us or renewing since renewals opened in October:
13 Female - 3 U12 - 1 Volunteer - 1 Junior
34 Male - 2 U12
Christmas Party (MW/JH)
Our Christmas Party is to be held on Sunday 15th December at Whiston Parish Hall. Tickets are now available.
We've sold just over 50% of tickets.
Maintenance Workshop (SM)
Sarah let us know that club member Pete Atkin is willing to host some maintenance classes. She's going to liaise with Pete and sort out some times so keep an eye out for those.
£3191.36 is what we currently have in the account. Some of this is to be paid out for kit orders and some of it is for the overseas trips next year so doesn't accurately reflect the amount of cash the club has.
More joint club rides were discussed for 2020. We've already got the Tour de Yorkshire, The Rotherham Wheelers Centenary ride, Holme Moss and Cleethorpes pencilled in as well as the Birthday and Christmas rides, so we'll see where we can fit some more in.
Thanks for reading.
If anyone has any points to raise with the committee please feel free to do so.
